Making a Difference Award

The ACCA  Making a Difference Award is given annually to a graduating senior at Annandale High School. Nominations for the award are made between February and April. The nominees are asked to submit an essay outlining their volunteer accomplishments and how they are making a difference. A Selection Advisory Committee evaluates the nominees’ essays and makes a recommendation for the award. The recipient receives a plaque and their name is added to the plaque  on display at the School with the names of the prior years’ recipients.

Ms. Jina H. Kim of the Evergreen Title Company sponsors the Volunteer Making a Difference award. Mrs. Kim said wanted to sponsor this award for a graduating senior at Annandale High School in the hope that the award would both recognize the importance of volunteering and encourage those headed out into our community or on to higher education to continue what they started in High School.
