We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing on September 13 of ACCA’s beloved founder, Emily Ruffing.  Her family has published a moving tribute in the  Washington Post.  For those of you who may have missed the obituary and relevant information, we quote it here:

“Friends will be received on Monday, September 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19 at 11 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, Alexandria.  Internment to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.
