ACCA was recently selected by Fairfax County for a Consolidated Community Funding Pool contract to support our programs from July 2024 – June 2026!
The Fairfax County Consolidated Community Funding Pool (CCFP) is a competitive funding process for human services programs developed and administered by nonprofits and community-based organizations.
The award serves as an investment and catalyst for strengthening the human services network of programs available for Fairfax County residents. ACCA’s furniture, family emergency, and food pantry each will receive important funds for its three service programs.
ACCA’s Furniture Program serves as a crucial lifeline for vulnerable individuals and families in financial crises, including single and two-parent households with young children, seniors on fixed incomes, domestic violence survivors, refugees, previously homeless individuals, and military veterans. the program helps households meet essential needs, thereby freeing up their limited income for other critical expenses, and fostering self-sufficiency.
ACCA’s Family Emergency Program serves a diverse population with a substantial minority presence, facing economic barriers to financial stability. Many residents are elderly, renters, have severe disabilities, or lack health insurance. The program primarily serves low-income residents in Annandale, Lincolnia, Bailey’s Crossroads, and Culmore areas of Fairfax County.
ACCA’s integrated Food Pantry Program is committed to addressing food insecurity and enhancing the nutritional well-being of individuals and families in their community. This comprehensive program offers emergency food assistance to those facing hunger, to help ensure that nobody in Annandale goes without access to nutritious meals. The Food Pantry provides a range of food resources, including fresh, frozen, dried, and canned goods, along with essential items for healthy living. It also provides food that meets the needs of the ethnic clients it serves and meets dietary needs such as low-sugar or low-salt diets.
At a time when we’re working to meet the needs of local families, this funding is incredibly critical and exciting for our operations! We are deeply thankful to Fairfax County Government for supporting the work that ACCA continues to do for the Fairfax County Community!
